Bio South
In the BIO-SOUTH project, the whole forest biofuel chain
will be analysed in two regions of southern Europe (Spain
and Italy) where there is an important potential for solids
biofuels (wood energy) but where there is not a well established
biofuel market and the biofuel share for heating applications
is negligible.
In adition, “expert” partners, from countries
with a developed biofuel market, will provide theirs expertise
and experience to the analysis of every biofuel chain stage.
It is expected that the results obtained in these both regions
will be useful for improving the forest biofuel market in
the European south area. The project results will be presented
to de decision-makers and will be disseminate to the general
