Description of the proposed consortium including
the role and responsibility of the participants
In the project, the whole biofuel chain will be analysed
in two regions of southern Europe, Navarra in Spain
and Tuscany in Italy, where there is an important potential
for solids biofuels (wood energy) but where there is
not a well established biofuel market and the biofuel
share for heating applications is negligible. For each
one of these analyses there is a local partner (CENER
and ETA Florence, respectively in Navarre and Tuscany)
who coordinate the work and the information exchange
between the partners for the different tasks. This local
partner (local coordinator), due to his knowledge of
local conditions and market structures and contacts
with the key actors, is also the leader of WP1
(Bioefuel resources potential evaluation), WP5
(Market analysis) and WP6 (Communication
and dis-semination of results).

For the rest of the WPs other local partners are the leaders.
WP leaders are responsible for the coordination of the work
carried out in each WP by the different partners. They are
supported by other local partners (key actors) and an "expert"
partner, from a country with a developed biofuel market, who
provides his expertise to analyse every biofuel chain stage.
The Direction Committee and the Technical Committee give
common guide for the realisation of the different project
activities by each partner in order to assure homogeneity
in relation with work criteria, priorities, etc...
Apart from the local coordinator (CENER and ETAFlorence),
local relevant actors (GAVRN, NAMAINSA, EHN CR, LSOLE,
Region of Tuscany, Municipality Abetone) take part
in the project in order to ensure the transfer of knowledge
and experiences, and the future implementation of the methodologies
and technologies.
The dissemination activities of the project results are carried
out at different levels by some partners:
• Local coordinators, CENER and
ETA Florence, carry out dissemination activities
at local level specified in WP6.1, WP6.2 and WP6.3, in Spain
and Italy respectively. ETAFlorence is
supported by University of Florence and Municipality of
Abetone for dissemination activities (workshop) in Tuscany.
• CENER, EUBIA, ETA Florence and
VTT carry the dissemination activities
at EU level specified in WP6.4.
• ApE carries the dissemination activities
specified in WP6.4 in Slovenia.
